I know its expensive, but this app is really worth the money if you are a professional photographer. The level of detail and viewing options is astounding. Very well thought out and not too complicated.

Love it Track down sunrise, sunset, golden time and the blue light (time). Best time to go out, track down sun altitude for walk, hiking, fishing and photography Give you five star.

Today was a lunar eclipse and we all wanted to know when and where the moon would rise so we could look for it. This app totally delivered showing the location and time in the night sky where the moon would rise, superimposed over the night sky!

This app is awesome! Street view of sun movement is pure genius. Glad I bought this. Perfect for photography and time traveling with the sun!!

Used this app to see what areas of my property would get enough sun for garden beds. Makes it easy to see where the sun will be at all times of the year.

I rarely discover an application in any genre that is perfect. My mind is one that is always working out how things could be improved, its just the way I am. And most apps can be improved, most of them greatly so... But I have to say this app is perfect. I bought it on a whim while on a location scout for a film shoot, and within a couple of minutes I already had a profound sense of what the sun was going to be doing to my set. I was honestly blown away that it was that simple, and accurate. If you are a shooter in any capacity you have to have this app. I already cant imagine prepping another job without it. $10 is a steal. To the developers: thank you for this!!

Perfect app, accurate and easy to use.

(No relation to the developer): This is really quite a good job by Adam Ratana. I have several sun location & angle apps, from planning a solar panel installation, and Sun Surveyor is the one I still keep on my phone to plan sunset walks & figure awning configuration over a window. Its very capable, easy to use, and Mr Ratana keeps tweaking to improve ease of interface and smooth out any bugs (I havent run into any glitches over the last 2 years). Very Good Job!

This is a top notch app. Im a nerd farmer. I love it. Easy interface, Great visualization. I use it to find out which trees are blocking (or will block) light on my greenhouse throughout the year and am using it to orient buildings for passive solar gain. update: the new ephemeris data (about milky way visibility etc.) is just plain fun. ex. need an excuse to go on an evening walk? why the milky way will be gorgeous tonight!

It is a fantastic app, the information provided helps with photography, garden, solar installation.

I am an astronomy and physics teacher and certainly recommend this app for anyone teaching these subjects. Augmented Reality View is an incredible part of the apps functionality. Example: One of the major projects my students do in Astronomy is a 4 month photographic study of the motion of the sun to better understand celestial dynamics. Sun Surveyor has proved indispensable for my students as they select a location for their photos…a location they must be assured will give them clear access to the setting sun over that 4 month period. The developer has created a truly special app in Sun Surveyor. BRAVO!

Purchased the app several days ago and cant seem to get it aligned with actual position of the sun. Gps function seems to be wonky. Shows the sun 2-3 hours ahead of where it actually is in the sky :-(

This program does so much so well. I even like to use the distance/direction feature for measuring over the same function in dedicated mapping programs. I love to see well thought out intuitive implementations of tools like this. Good job! Thank you so much.

I cant uninstall it. I cant upload or reinstall it. Its stuck in upgrade mode.

Im not sure why this app has no reviews but its everything you could want. There are two live views, one with the camera and a 3D version also. Both are excellent options as well as the typical map view that most of the similar apps have. This one is very simple to use with minimal to no learning curve at all. I have tried a handful of these while yes most offer the same info in some form or fashion I find this app to be superior to the lot in presentation, use and quality.
